1. Overview & Commitment to Privacy
MeLoop ("we", "our", or "us"), developed and operated by Tararaj Chandra (T3 Solutions), is committed to safeguarding your privacy. MeLoop is architected from the ground up as a Local-First Desktop Application. Unlike traditional webmail services, your personal communication, credentials, and attachments remain entirely under your control on your personal computer.
2. How MeLoop Works: The Local-First Architecture
When you use MeLoop Desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux), your email data and Microsoft Teams conversations are fetched directly from your email provider’s servers (Google, Microsoft 365, IMAP) to your local machine via direct, encrypted TLS connections:
- Local Storage: All emails, index headers, and metadata are saved strictly to an encrypted local SQLite database on your device.
- Secure Credential Storage: Passwords, OAuth tokens, and refresh credentials are saved exclusively into your operating system's native keychain (Windows Credential Manager / macOS Keychain).
- Zero Intermediary Cloud: MeLoop has no cloud proxy, telemetry server, or intermediary database intercepting your communication.
3. Information Accessed & Permissions Requested
To provide email and chat functionality, MeLoop requests the following standard OAuth 2.0 scopes with your explicit authorization:
- Google OAuth 2.0: `gmail.modify`, `gmail.compose`, `userinfo.email`, `userinfo.profile`. Used solely to display, search, compose, and send emails from your authenticated Google account within the local app interface.
- Microsoft Graph API: `Mail.ReadWrite`, `Mail.Send`, `ChatMessage.Read`, `User.Read`. Used to synchronize email threads, calendar invites, and Teams chats locally.
- Custom IMAP/SMTP: Standard server credentials utilized solely to communicate directly with your specified mail server over SSL/TLS.
🛡️ Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
MeLoop's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically: We never sell Google user data to third parties, we never use Google user data for serving advertisements, and we never use Google user data to train generalized machine learning or artificial intelligence models.
4. Artificial Intelligence & Copilot Features
MeLoop provides smart drafting and tone switching capabilities. All AI operations respect your privacy:
- On-Device Offline Mode: If you use local Ollama or the built-in Instant NLP engine, zero data leaves your computer.
- Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK): If you provide your own OpenAI or Gemini API key, prompt requests travel directly from your computer to the API provider using your personal account. No intermediate server captures or logs your prompts.
5. Third-Party Services & Payment Processing
For premium software licenses (MeLoop Pro & Lifetime), payment processing is handled by secure, PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways:
- Razorpay: Handles UPI, Net Banking, and Card transactions in India. We do not store your credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs.
- International Merchant of Record: Payment processors handle foreign currency transactions, adhering strictly to global security and tax standards.
6. Data Retention & Deletion Rights
Because all email data is stored locally on your personal machine, you have complete and instantaneous sovereignty over your data:
- Removing an account from MeLoop immediately purges all associated local SQLite databases and keyring tokens.
- Uninstalling the application completely erases all local application state and cached content from your device.
